Summer camp is back again!  This is for kids 9 - 14. Join us for a fun filled summer.  Go home with  projects and memories of a great experience. Camps available for 6 & 8 year olds, go to "Kids Sew Cool Day Camp".

Get ready for a fun week at the Choate ranch.  You will be lodging in the ranch "bunk house". Sewing in the new sewing class room. Swimming in the pool and listening to the coyotes as you cook your hotdog on the camp fire.

"Kids Summer Sewing Camp"

June 9 - 12  or  June 23 -26

This is a basic learn to sew camp.  We will be making many items as we learn to sew and enjoy creating and designing.

Ages 9 - 14

• Learn how the sewing machine works
• Learn the parts of a sewing machine
• Learn how to operate a sewing machine
• Practice straight sewing
• Practice zig zag sewing
• Learn how to sew corners and curves
• Learn how to wind a bobbin
• Learn how to read a pattern
• Learn how to get your fabric ready to sew
• Learn how to press your project
• Much much more...

Sewing, swimming, cookouts and more.

"Kids Quilting Camp"

June 16-19

Must have basic sewing to participate (either "Kids Summer Sewing Camp" or "Kids Sewing Day Camp"

Each child will piece a quilt.

What will we learn:

• History of Quilting
• Safety while cutting and sewing.
• How to select a quilt pattern
• How to select fabric
• How to use Quilting tools
• How to design different looks
• How to make color work for your quilt design
• Seaming for accuracy
• How to use quilting software to design quilts.
