Jan Beeman's BAG FOR ALL SEASONS AND REASONS

WARNING:
THIS BAG IS ADDICTING!! YOU WILL WANT TO MAKE MORE THAN ONE!

This bag is made from Bosal In R Form Plus and 2-1/2” fabric strips. INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE GIVEN FOR A JAZZY BAG LIKE THE ONE SHOWN. Bosal In R Form Plus does not wrinkle, is washable, and is light weight enough to use as a carry-on tote bag. Plus, it is fusible. Be aware that there are some fusible foam products on the market that will come apart with age and crumble when laundered. Bosal In R Form Plus is long lasting and looks great after being laundered multiple times.

Skill Details:
Instructor: Jan Beeman
Instructor Bio: Sewing and Quilting have been my hobby, dream and passion since I was a girl. My Grannie Trammell would stamp designs on brown domestic (now known as muslin) for me to embroider when I was 6 years old to keep me busy while I was visiting her. Next, came using Mother?s black Singer that had been converted from a treadle to electric. I was hooked. I made doll clothes from scraps and later made my own clothes when I was in high school. After Mike and I married the first thing he bought me was a White sewing machine at a second-hand store. I made curtains, pillows, and of course clothes. It was a newly weds dream to feather our little nest with things I had made. After our kids were born, I made t-shirts and shorts for our son, and made many of our daughter?s clothes including prom dresses. Ten years and many, many sewing projects later I met an elderly man who taught me all about sewing machines. He repaired machines and was happy to teach me about feed dogs, gears, and the working parts of machines. This just fed my love of sewing machines even more. I taught the first New Home Club in Texas when the first computerized sewing machine came out in 1984. Later New Home became Janome and I continued selling Janome machines for several years. I have also sold and taught new owner?s classes for Babylock, Brother, Elna, and Bernina. I have been teaching classes for over 40 years. I love teaching and try to be sure that everyone in the class has fun and learns new techniques and skills. My current classes are the bag class, free motion quilting, beginning quilter?s classes, and two classes that I am particularly proud of: Quilting In Sections The Jan Beeman Way and Jan?s Kind Of Crazy, a crazy quilt pattern and class that I designed. I hope you will come and play with me in one of my classes.
